July Contest Entry

The weekly Scavenger Hunts I've participated in so far have been so much fun because I l-o-v-e taking pictures! For additional photo opportunities, the July photo contest is underway, and here's my entry below just in time for the July 2 deadline.

Participants were asked to post 4 pictures: fireworks, fire engine, flag, and something red/white/blue. The pictures can be ones taken recently in anticipation of this contest or pictures already in hand from previous outings. My entry is some of both!

These red, white, and blue banners are hanging from the National  Archives building in Washington, D.C. I toured D.C. with my sister's college journalism class a couple of years ago and snapped this picture.

To the left is Old Glory waving in San Diego Harbor. I took this picture when we were touring out in the South Bay last year on our 25th anniversary trip.

This next picture is of a fireworks store set up in our local Walmart parking lot.

And last, but not least, a bright, shiny, red fire engine sitting inside the station.

I really enjoyed participating and look forward to future contests. Thanks tnchick for hosting both the weekly scavenger hunts and the July contest.
