I love my rickety, peg-leg, red wooden bench that sits by the sidewalk and welcomes our visitors.
My grandmother's antique leaky dishpan sits on top, and I plant annuals in it every year...mostly red geraniums, but this year I planted pink vinca after the hail killed the red begonias when I was away in South Carolina.
My red wooden bench was a great yard sale find for only one dollah! Who knew that one day it would participate in the I Saw Red challenge?

Good morning Deb! I love your bench - I'm getting some good gardening ideas from you and just in time. We're only beginning to plant our annuals. Our last risk of frost date is around June 10th.

Love the bench and love the dishpan! I've tried planting some begonias in a similar enamel pan, but I think mine may be a little too shallow for a good root system to develop. Maybe a different flower would work better in mine. I'll have to post a picture since one of my pans is RED! :-)

Hi Deb... thanks for dropping by my blog today... always good to hear from you... and just knowing something in my new blogstore might be of value to you encourages my heart because I know we share a unity of heart to glorify God and share His love with others. You are a blessing my friend.
ps... my front door is also red... so is my armoire... and the cup I'm drinking out of right now! Love it!! Hugs to you.

Love that bench! Your picture loaded up correctly when I clicked it today! Weren't you having a problem with that when typepad made their changes? Did Hannah figure it out? :) Good job!
