My sister posted recently about her love for cubbyholes--the idea of getting away from the noise of the crowd and just relaxing in your own personal space.
Here's my cubbyhole--a comfy chair in the corner of our bedroom, strategically positioned between two windows for great views. I can snooze in the warmth of the afternoon sunbeams under a cozy fleece blanket, although since I'm home all day I don't have any crowds I need to get away from! My whole house is a delightful cubby! And I love being around my family!
This is actually my quiet time chair, my knitting chair, my read-a-stack-of-accumulated-newspapers chair, and my video-watching chair. Currently I'm watching this video on marriage while I knit a scarf.
And usually on that sunny windowsill...my cell phone and a snowman bowl of chocolates await. What a nice treat for a cubby!
What's your cubby like? Can you describe it or show us a picture on your blog where you get away from it all.

I love your cubbyhole. What a view you have from both windows. I would be tempted to sit there all day.:) My cubbyhole is our sun porch. It looks out over my garden and the little woods behind our home. I keep all my magazines there but I find myself looking into the woods to see all the interesting birds that make their home in the trees. Last week a huge hawk hung around for several days and yesterday a red-headed woodpecker spent some time there knocking holes in a tree.

Great cubby, Deb. I love all the light coming in from both sides. Unfortunately, my quiet place, a big chair by our fireplace, has light coming in from only one side.

What a lovely peaceful spot. I especially love your view.
I think you've seen mine on my blog or at least the view from it! It's a big chair in front of the woodstove - my books and devotionals on a table beside me, my laptop, a cup of tea and usually a kitty or two!
