Yes, I've been knitting this week (lots!) on the Irish Hiking Scarf. I'm sure you've seen the button on my sidebar for awhile now, and I previously posted about this scarf here.
As of today the scarf now measures 45 knitted inches with only 10 more inches to go! Maybe I can finish it this weekend and finally give it to Sarah!
The story behind this scarf: Back in 2008 I had knitted at least 36" on this scarf before gift wrapping it for Sarah for Christmas that year. Included was a note telling her that Mom "didn't quite finish in time, but I would get right to it."
Fast forward to January 2011: I think this should be the first UFO that I tackle on my list. Sarah has waited very patiently for her scarf that will match both her knitted hat Aunt Bet made for her and a green sweater the exact same color.
Hold on, Sarah! I won't give up this time!
