You know you're getting marvelously mature when:
- You and your teeth don't sleep together.
- You try to straighten out the wrinkles in your socks and discover you aren't wearing any.
- At the breakfast table you hear snap, crackle, pop, and you're not eating cereal.
- Your back goes out but you stay home.
- You wake up looking like your driver's license picture.
- It takes two tries to get up from the couch.
- Your idea of a night out is sitting on the front porch.
- You finally get your head together, and your body starts falling apart.
- You're on vacation, and your energy runs out before your money does.
- All you want for your birthday is to not be reminded of your age.
- You look for your glasses for half an hour, and they were on your head the whole time.
- You step off a curb and look down to make sure the street is still there.
- Your idea of weight lifting is standing up.
- It takes longer to rest than it did to get tired.
- The pharmacist has become your new best friend.
- Having a good day means you found your car in the parking lot.
- The twinkle in your eye is merely a reflection from the sun on your bifocals.
- It takes twice as long to look half as good.
- You wonder how you got over the hill when you don't remember being on top of it.

Of course, all this stuff doesn't apply to me...yet (I have my own teeth!), but some of the things I can identify with more now than I could a few years ago. How about you? Are you approaching marvelous maturity, too?

P.S. Happy, happy birthday to my friend Carol way out in Texas! Hope you have a special day, Carol!
Carol and I were born the same year, two days apart. I always think it's neat to find someone who has the exact same birthday as you--or even close! Do you know someone like that?
LOL!!! :) We all enjoyed this post! Yes I found myself in several of the items listed. Oh well its great that at our age we can laugh about it!

Our Pastor's wife and I share the same birthday and my cousin's little boy was born just a few hours before my birthday.
