Just an update on my Thursday Thirteen post--I've gotten a lot of stuff done!! I think some folks must have been praying for me! I made some phone calls yesterday and have some mulching to do this morning before I head out to visit two kennels. Last night Tom and I had his suit pants measured at a seamstress's house down the road, and we pick them up tomorrow. Check those things off the list! I'm feeling a little less stressed already! Yay!
Jonathan started his summer job at the airport this week, and we're hearing all about electronics and airplanes at the supper table, and I can't even remember some of the terms he's been throwing out. But he seems to enjoy the work so far.
Today Hannah and I are going to Millmont, the Mennonite greenhouse and nursery, to purchase the garden vegetable plants today. She's been busy tilling the aged manure into the rows these past weeks, so hopefully we are enough past frost date now to get some plants in the ground. Yesterday Sarah and I weeded the iris bed, literally for hours--a big accomplishment!
Even with all the busy-ness, I've been trying to get a couple of letters written and sent out to friends. (Chris, you're next; I promise!)
And around the blogosphere, below are some interesting sites for you to check out while I'm out running around town today.
For all of you who like to bookmark favorite recipes you find on the internet, Elise over at Simply Recipes posts how to create your own del.icio.us cookbook to keep track of them. Sounds interesting to me because I have a ton of recipes shoved into an email folder. Maybe this would help me "tag" them to find a certain one in a flash. I'm going to try it (but after the wedding).
While you're at Elise's place, check out her Oatmeal Pancake recipe. Don't they look del.icio.us?!
And if you find yourself in the kitchen baking after looking at all those recipes...check out Tammy's Times. She just posted several links for aprons, some are patterns and some you can buy. And she posts pictures of all her aprons here. I had never thought to look for vintage aprons at yard sales, but now I'll keep my eyes open.
In a entertaining mood? Here's a spring placecard idea from The Sparrow's Nest. Mrs. Wilt gives you all the instructions to make a delightful egg-in-a-nest for all your guests.
Want a tour of the United Kingdom? Mrs. Blythe just posted some beautiful photographs of the area where she lives. I love picturing where other people live. This might be an idea for a future post on Mountain Musings!
And if you're a doggy person and want to see a cute picture...my doggy nephew Barney was a bad, bad boy!
Enjoy your weekend!
~Deb
Thanks Deb, :)
I'll be checking my mailbox every day!!!!!!!!!!! Thank the Lord for all the progress yesterday. Doesn't it feel soooo good to check off things? I love making a list and then seeing it checked off, what a sense of accomplishment. Have fun getting your plants and then getting them in the ground. Can't wait to sit on your porch and talk about the wedding and look at all the fruits of your labor. God bless you tons today!

Hi Deb, I am glad that everything is going to plan. Praise God. And I am so excited to see my link there in your post. Thank you! :o) I too am hankering after some pretty aprons, so I will have to be on the look-ut now. The only other person I know around here who wears aprons is my mum, I wear them too but mine are so dull. Blessings.Sarah

Praise the Lord for all you have accomplished! I'll keep praying for you! The first thing I looked at were those CUTE pictures of Barney! What a mess he made of himself! Hope the kennel visits go well. After this comment, I'm heading to Mrs. Blythe's blog to see those pictures of England! We loved our 18 months stay there and hope to see some familiar sites! Praying you have a blessed day! P.S. Thanks for the note this week! Hannah's card is so pretty...where can I view more products from Graceful Designs?

Thank you all for thinking of us during this busy season with the wedding coming up! Yes, it feels so good to mark things off the list, Chris!
And Mrs. Blythe, Tammy S., and Carol, glad you stopped by.
Dorothy, Hannah is working on a website but doesn't quite have it all together yet. We'll keep you posted. :)
