Our day began with singing Psalm 100--Pilgrim style--with no hymnbooks. Doug Phillips led the audience one line at a time, and we sang the line back to him. It is a beautiful tune, and we're learning the psalm this week by singing it before the morning and evening keynote sessions. I remembered my camera today and snapped a photo of the Botkin sisters playing their harps before the session began
.
One of the workshops I attended: "Special Providences of God in the Advancement of Christendom, Part 1." Speakers: Geoffrey Botkin and Doug Phillips, pictured here on the left.
The History of Libraries and Books workshop today with Bill Potter (right) was a very interesting one; I have many notes, but I will need to sort through them when we get home.
On behalf of Vision Forum, Doug Phillips made a special presentation tonight in honor of the late Dr. Henry Morris for his work with the Institute of Creation Research and accepted by his son Dr. John Morris. To Dr. Morris' right is Dr. John Whitcomb, a close friend of Dr. Henry Morris and a very interesting keynote speaker.
Other interesting tidbits today: lunch out with my two very good friends who live in the area and conversations throughout the day with various acquaintances. Fun!
Tomorrow: Morning workshop sessions and an afternoon tour of Sherwood Forest. Dinner out with the Serven Clan! :)
Updated to add: Check Matt Chancey's blog for more up-to-the-minute postings throughout the day.
