Fabric Sale! Words that are sure to get my attention! Hannah, Sarah, Elizabeth, and I headed up Route 11 this morning to Patchwork Plus for their January fabric sale which included the batiks which I needed to create another McKenna Ryan wall-hanging.
No, I'm not finished the binding on the sheep one yet (I need Hannah's help), but I wanted to save money by buying the fabric on sale this week.
Elizabeth needed backing for the purple quilt she started last weekend. Maybe I can post a picture of hers when she gets finished.
Sarah wanted some flannel to make a baby quilt (for her first baby--whenever that will be--but isn't that the cutest thing to want to make it now for her hope chest!). She will post her fabric pictures soon. She's already started cutting the blocks tonight, and it's adorable.
Hannah browsed but mostly helped me. I know that the wild array of colors above don't seem to go together, but hopefully the end result will be pleasing to the eye. We had a very fun day!

How fun! Those words sure got my attention! I can't wait to see what you all do with all your fabric.

Love all those pretty fabrics!! You guys will have so much fun sewing them to make your neato projects! Yah for Sarah and her baby quilt. HUMMMM..... Maybe if I bought Sandy some baby fabric and a good quilt pattern she would get busy on the grandchildren department! :) Better yet I'll just go ahead and make a baby quilt and give it to her... HINT HINT :)
I would love to see your sheep "quilt" you started this past summer/fall. Post a picture sometime!
Our Quilt shop down the road is having a 20th anniversary celebration today and every 20th of the month this year. Today one of the specials is a FREE yard of fabric to the first 20 customers! I wish I could get there in time but I have to go help my niece purchase veil fabric at Joannes, sooo I guess no free fabric for me today! :(

Oh Deb -- This sounds like a perfect day! I miss terribly living close enough to go out with my mom and sister. It has been such a joy as my girls have begun to get old enough to enjoy doing these things with me.
It sounds like you must have really enjoyed the process of the sheep quilt if you're buying fabric for another one. Your pastoral/sheep scene looked beautiful when you were working on it. I look forward to seeing the end product when you get a chance to finish it. :o)
