From The Word

  • Matthew 18:2-5
"And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me."

Oh, I have wanted to do a quilt like that for ages! How did it do in the wash machine? I hear they can produce a lot of lint when you first make them and then wash them? Any tips?

Chris

AWWW Sharah, it is so cute! You did a nice job! I particularly like the underside, I love plaids and checks. Keep up the good work! Hey, that sure didn't take very long.

Randi

Your blanket came out adorable!

Heather

Your baby quilt is so cute!! I love that style of quilts! You did a wonderful job.

Love, Heather

Dorothy

Sarah, it looks so cute! I like the way the upper side looks. Didn't seem to take you too long...those kind of projects are great!

Jodi

What an adorable, cheerful quilt! I love the ruffly effect on the top side.

Susan

I love it! The seams on the top are great like that; it makes it seem softer and more homey. My husband would be like your dad, though! ;)

You did a great job on it!

Julie

Sarah, that is a beautiful baby quilt. You will have to teach Alli how to make one. Can't wait to see you all:)

Ruthanne

Oh Sarah, that is soooooo sweet. I do so admire ladies who know how to sew! (One day I'm GOING to learn!!) Great job. The baby who sleeps under it will be very blessed. :)

Sherrin

I think my next quilt project (if there is one) will be very much like yours! The simple squares must be fun and relatively easy to make up. Well done! Have you bound it already as well?

Sarah

Thanks everyone for the comments! :)

Cindi, I made the mistake of putting some of my PJs in the washer with the blanket, and I had to pick off tons of little white thread. It really got everywhere, so wash it alone. I don't know anything else but that. :)

Mrs. Trent, I just copied the blanket that Mrs. D. had at church last time we were there. :) She told me how much cloth to get, etc.

Sherrin, it doesn't have a binding. At least, mine doesn't...I'm not sure whether it should or not. I just clipped around the edges just like I did with the seams. :)
