It's late, and I'm just getting around to posting. It's been cold outside today but warm inside, and the day has been filled with lots of quilting--hopefully pictures another time. The vintage-cloth, quilted placemats were picked up at a yard sale several years ago.
Sarah made this Butter Pecan Cake tonight, and it was warm, moist, and delicious! Here's the recipe:
Combine mix, oil, eggs, water and beat well. Add icing and pecans to batter. Yes, add the can of frosting to the batter and mix well. Bake on 350 degrees for 30 - 40 minutes. No need for any icing. Yum!

Oh that sounds yummy -- especially on a cold winter's day! I'm going to tuck that recipe away and make it when my mom visits; butter pecan is her favorite flavor! Hope your quilting is going well, too! :o)

Ohhhhh . . . I know Wes would LOVE this! LOL I've been making butter pecan cakes lately for my cake decorating, and you'd think the man had died and gone to Heaven. I'll have to try this one.

I love that cake! We have the exact same recipe! My grandma in North Carolina gave it to us.

That does sound good. I'm glad you repeated the "add the can of frosting to the batter". Otherwise I'm sure I would be reading it incorrectly.
