Here are the three fabrics I bought at the fabric sale this week. All the flannel choices were SO cute, but I finally decided on these. :)
This past Sunday, I saw a baby blanket that a lady at church had made. Both Hannah and I liked it, so I decided to make it while the fabric was on sale. I also wanted to get it done while I could remember how to do it. :)
Well, after working on it the past few days, I'll hopefully finish it today or tomorrow. I ran into a short delay this morning when my thread ran out - but Mom is going to the quilt store again today so she can replenish it for me.
Maybe I'll post a picture of the blanket when it's finished - stay tuned. :)

Sarah -
You are very wise to do this while you have the time. I just finished an all embroidered baby quilt for my 16 y.o.son about 2 years ago. *blush* Oh, the shame! Needless to say, I'm saving it for my future daughter-in-law to enjoy with her babies.
I like your fabric very much. Bears are so irresistible!

I just wrote a long comment and then lost it. The essence was:
1. Great to be back in the blogging loop, and updated with what you are doing
2. I also consider at times whether or not to continue blogging. It can cause some pressure to write regularly - but it helps if you choose not to post daily! I have heaps of things to write about, but little time! I enjoy your blog, and would miss it if you were gone, but don't be overly swayed by fans like me - consider whether or not it is right for your family at this time and pray about it.
3. Thanks for linking to me in the context of "slice of life" blogs in your post on blogging.
4. Lovely idea to make a baby blanket!

I hope you'll decide to post a picture of the finished quilt - I'd love to see it! And what a great idea to make it now!
