Here's a picture of a cross-stitch I finished years ago. It's a treasure to me because, in addition to all four children's names being stitched around the sides, "Families Are Forever" with our family name is stitched at the bottom (right clicking and opening in a new window will give you the entire picture enlarged).
Actually, I finished cross-stitching this picture years before I stitched in the names. I just knew the Lord might give us one or more children in addition to these four, and I wanted to wait so their names could be included.
I finally decided to go ahead and complete it with Micah and Hannah's names on one side and Jonathan and Sarah's on the other and have it framed. It has always been a special cross-stitch reminding me that the Lord is the One who gives life and puts families together with just the number of children He wants us to have.
"I will put my trust in him....Behold I and the children which God hath given me." ~ Hebrews 2:13

That looks like a rather large cross-stitch. It is very nice...how sweet to have all the family names on it. Waiting for the phone company today and continuing to unpack. I owe you an email and will do that as soon as I can! Getting settled is a priority so we can get back with school...cannot find my teaching books...finally found John's books late yesterday in a box labeled "screwdrivers" and "garage"! Not sure how they came up with that as it was Christmas decorations with his school books! Miss ya!

It's beautiful, Deb! I don't blame you for waiting on stitching the names - you never know! ;)

It's just beautiful, Deb! I love what you said about it being the perfect reminder of his plan for each of us! So true:)
