The bright reds, yellows, and oranges are finally showing up here in Virginia in spite of a dry summer. Because of careful coverage with old sheets, shower liners, dog blankets, etc, during cold, frosty nights, I am still picking our fall raspberries. They have been a treat to enjoy since the rest of the plants have been pulled or put to bed for the winter. It has been a busy gardening season, so now it's time to settle down for some indoor projects!

Hannah, your garden was so beautiful and very well tended when we visited last! How nice it must be to be able to pick your own fresh raspberries! A couple of days ago, I went to the store and bought a teeny tiny pack of them for Mom's birthday for a whopping $5! There were hardly any in there. :)
The scenery around your home is breathtaking!! I LOVE the picture of the mountains in your post! It looks like a painting! I hope you are going to post more about some of your indoor projects. :)
I'm going to write you back soon, and please tell Sarah I hope she feels better! :)
Love,
Alli

Lovely fall pictures. When we lived in Maine we always had fall raspberries from the bushes alongside our property. Of course, fall comes a *wee bit* earlier in Maine; November is the start of snow (Brr!). :o)
