Hey Sarah,
O.K. this is one trait you definitely did not inherit from me!!! I can barely stand looking at these pictures, never mind holding one of those icky things. When I was little I would hold the garden snakes that the neighbor boy caught, but it wasn't something I sought out. Then we had copperheads in our backyard, and that scared me. I've hated snakes since! I'm glad it was fun for you. I wouldn't have gone near that library!

Yikes, Sarah! I'm glad YOU enjoyed it...not sure if I would have! My kids would have loved the experience! When I was growing up, my family had a pet boa constrictor named Charlie. He was 6 feet long and loved eating mice. The neighborhood kids would come watch when my Dad would buy mice to feed him. My Dad enjoyed playing practical jokes on people with Charlie and scared off many a person. :) Glad you had a nice time out!

A brave one I must say.No way would I try holding one of those snakes!

Aw, it really wasn't that big of a deal. :) I DON'T love snakes by any means, I would probably scream if I saw one in the yard! But these were trained, "tame", snakes, and they are used to being held by people all the time - he had 40 speaking engagements just in this month!
