Yesterday I switched gears from quilting to knitting. Today I'm switching back...because it's National Quilting Day! I'm celebrating most of the day by working on a small quilt. There are other ways to celebrate, too.
Here's a picture that shows part of the quilt I'm working on. I'm sewing rickrack between two jelly roll strips. Easy and fun!
I'll post the completed quilt when I'm done, hopefully next week.
One way to celebrate this special day that honors quilters is by visiting a quilt shop. I know, it's a tough job, but somebody's gotta do it. Plus, I need more rickrack.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Deb, I am lovin' what I see in the photo... the rick rack is a cute addition. Don't keep us in suspense too long, can't wait to see the final project!! I have to go to our quilt shop today to pick up my machine that I took in for a "tune-up" before I start the 10 dresses for J and S wedding! Hummmm, maybe I'll just brouse around a bit. I did pick up 4 different fabrics yesterday when I was out with Sandy at Jo-Annes. Bright reds and white patterns for a picnic quilt I want to make ....one day?! LOL I could use a few more red fabrics.....be a great way to celebrate Nat. Quilting Day, huh?! :0)

I look forward to seeing the finished project. I once helped make lap quilts for a nursing home. It was such a fun project, and as it was done by mothers and daughters from our church we had a bi-weekly good old-fashioned quilting bee to get them all done. Thankfully we had an expert quilter overseeing everything we did. Happy quilting.

Hi, I really like your fabric! :)
I was just wondering how you were able to get the Vision Forum hot button? I have seen a couple of other people have those. I looked all over the website, but didn't see it anywhere.
If you find the time, could you leave me a comment on my blog? www.mdlife.wordpress.com
