The Siggy Block Swap of 2009 was a big success! After receiving my blocks in the mail this week, my first thought was, "These are all beautiful! I would definitely do this again!"
And what makes it so special is that everyone's block is different and signed uniquely. The blocks were from all over the United States, Germany, United Kingdom, and Australia--and now I have 60 of them and love them all!
I want to say a big Thank You to Connie over at Cootie Bug for coordinating the Swap. She worked hard behind-the-scenes to make sure everything ran smoothly, plus she made blocks for both of the swaps! Way to go, Connie! You were great!
Here are some of the blocks I received. Notice the block in the bottom right corner. This quilter's signature was an emblem of the Siggy Swap button as shown above and will be a great block to identify this particular quilt.
And here are more:
Here's the block below that I made and sent to Connie. It is now in 60 different homes across the world and will, hopefully, end up in 60 different quilts! Isn't that amazing?
Another item for my to-do list: Make siggy blocks into a quilt...soon!

Nice! I like this. Can't wait to see how you quilt it. Do you have a backing fabric chosen yet?

They ARE wonderful. I love seeing them in your photos. Don't know if I've told you yet but I HEART your block so much.

Oh what fun and they are so pretty! So much color and all unique! I wish I had joined the swap! The red polka dot with the yellow lady bug caught my eye because I bought both of those fabrics at Joannes a month ago for my stash to make a red and white "picnic" quilt...oneday! :) LOVE all the blocks and GREAT job on yours Deb, I love that you signed your block using John 3:16, neat idea!!! BTW, did you see how one lady arranged her blocks to get a white criss-cross design, very nice! See Connie's site for the picture.

Hi Deb!
Yep...I can post again!
I love this quilt project! Make sure you make a cross stitch tag on the back with a mini history for future generations!
