Here's my Bloomin' Tuesday post this week from the inside looking out!
I took a picture of our Yellow Rose of Texas while standing by the kitchen nook table looking out towards the backyard. The Blue Ridge Mountains are in the far distance, but they're not clearly visible in this picture.
I enjoy this view so much because usually this bush blooms so profusely and because it reminds me of the first flowers Tom ever sent me--yellow roses! I purchased the bush as a small plant at a yard sale years ago for only 50 cents.
Just to the left of the Yellow Rose of Texas you can glimpse just a portion of the Purple Hyacinth Bean which I posted about last week.
Unfortunately, I won't enjoy this view much longer. Construction is almost ready to begin on the room we're adding on to the back of the house so my mom can come and live with us. Both the Yellow Rose of Texas and the Purple Hyacinth Bean plant (and accompanying birdfeeder pole) must be moved. My next project is to determine where they'll go and replant them before the construction workers arrive.
