From The Word

  • Matthew 18:2-5
"And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me."

Aunt Bet

Beautiful block, Sarah! I want you to teach me how to do that. :-)

Chris

What a beautiful job you have done Sarah!! Your points look so sharp and the block looks so proferssional! I'm with you Deb, so many things to do and I'd probably be doing mine in a c-r-u-n-c-h as well! :) Good job Deb that you are even doing this...can't wait to see more! Yah on the addition, looking forward to pictures!!!

Leslie From VA

Go, Deb, go!!!! You can do it!

Sarah, your square is gorgeous! Great work! Your Mom said you have been so willing to do whatever it takes to get the room ready for Granny ......I know all of the sacrifices you have had to make to your own room are so appreciated by your family!

Great news, Deb, on the addition being about ready by the time your Mom moves up from SoBo!

Dorothy

Sorry I took you away from your sewing with my phone call yesterday, but it was so nice to catch up! I'll be praying for all that is going on in your life...busy, busy, busy times for the Girotti family. Looking forward to seeing pictures of the completed addition and also, maybe your Mom will be a part of the blog, too! :-)

victoria

You can do it Deb! Just perservere and it will be finished in time. Sarah's block is gorgeous. What a talent she has to be able to do that. Please let us see the finished product if you piece it all into a quilt.

Beautiful block Sarah! Did your mom's house sell yet Deb?

Deb

Thank you everyone for your encouragement! Yes, the block was finished, and we made it to quilt class this morning with both of our blocks in hand!

Victoria, yes, the finished product will be a whole year in coming as it's 12 blocks, and we'll do one a month. But we'll post the new blocks as we sew them.

Joanna, YES!! PTL!!! It did sell! The person who submitted an offer on the house when I mentioned it on the blog is the one who is buying the house! And the timing of it all has been perfect!

Islandsparrow

Lovely quilt block - the colours are gorgeous.

I'm glad to hear your mom's house sold. an answer to prayer!

Sounds like the work on the house is coming along great - you'll be glad when it's finished though. I always am relieved when any renovations are done. And this is a big one!

Love the picture of your home church.

victoria

Congratulations! Let's see a picture of your block. :)
