Well, I know a few people who have been waiting for this post to find out what I bought at Rockfish Gap Country Store last week. Today's the day you get a peek.
Rockfish Gap hosts 25 antique vendors under one roof and is a wonderful stop if you're headed over Afton Mountain.
Here are the three very neat treasures I brought home from Chez Crozet, one of the vendors at the Country Store:
I saw this old baby shoe and loved the fact that it's made into a pin cushion, but also the added touches of ribbon to lace it up, three buttons on the top toe, and lace on the back heel all make it so adorable! I loved it!
How about this Mason jar packed with antique wooden spools, covered with a section of newspaper, and tied with jute! The little tag says: "A perfect gift for the seamstress/decorator...she'll love it!" They must know me...I do love it!
And last, but not least, is a dainty hand-painted teacup from England. How do you like all these treasures?
Okay, changing the subject just a bit...
Do you remember our recent Blogiversary post: 5 Years, 1,400 Posts Later?

Gasp! Sputter!
Deb! That was totally a surprise! How sweet of you to be so generous. That shoe is adorable, and I will love having it in my little sewing area, and more so because it came from YOU! Thank you so much, sweet friend!
All the things you got at the store are so cute. The spools remind me of my Grandma; she used to string spools on a shoe string for me to wear as a necklace - sweet memory. And the little tea cup is just so sweet. Congrats to the other two winners. I know they'll enjoy their treasures too.
Would you prefer my American PO box, so the shipping will be a little less for you? Just let me know.

My daughters used to have a jar with modern spools and rope to make necklaces while I sewed. So naturally they love the jar of wooden spools!
Now we will teach my darling neice Abigail how to thread necklaces.
Thank you for your thoughtfulness, Deb. You sure put a smile on my face today!
My daughters and I are thinking that everyone won ~ just reading your blog is a treasure indeed. Thanks again!

Well aren't you just so sweet to surprise your readers with a give away. I especially loved the tea cup. We have a wonderful antique mall near our home that I frequent often. Your place sounds like a great place to shop too.

**Deb**!!!
What a *fantastic* surprise ... (and on my anniversary!). :oD
I could not believe it! Not that we believe in luck -- but my family won't even let me pull the Monopoly tabs off the McDonald cups because it's just a known fact in our family that "Momma never wins prizes!" Ha - I can now tell them. I'm much more successful when I have no idea I'm playing - lol.
You're family is just precious and abundantly generous to boot. It looks like you had a wonderful time antiquing. If you're ever down our way I promise to take you to the Knitting Mill ... antiques beyond imagination (and a great place to take pictures, according to Brian).
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have put the icing on my wonderful-day-cake!
