Last week our local quilt store had a big end-of-the-year inside yard sale with lots of fabric bolts priced to sell.
Hannah and I enjoyed perusing their selection, and I came home with some red material to start my collection of reds to make a red quilt hopefully by next Christmas.
I've been collecting purple fabrics for a purple quilt for quite some time now, so I know from experience that it may take awhile to end up with enough to make a quilt.
Here are two red quilts by Crazy Mom Quilts...a candy cane quilt and a red + white quilt.
And how about this Red Patch quilt from Red Pepper Quilts!
I love this example of a red triangle quilt over at Cluck, Cluck, Sew. Aren't all the various reds wonderful?! Those are the kinds of reds I'll be collecting this year.
If everywhere you look you're seeing reds, too, think of me and send 'em on...

Hi Deb! How much do you get fabric for per yard at the end of the season sale? Maybe next year I will ride up there and hit the sale too!

Deb, I was just thinking yesterday how I am attracted to red lately and was even imagining doing some home dec in red this year and also a quilt. I love the fabric in the photo :)

I wish you the best in your red quilt. I suppose I favor the candy cane and the cluck, cluck, sew ones, but I am sure the ones you choose will turn out quite lovely. Glad you had a nice time out with your daughter. Sincerely, Mommy of two little blessings.

DEB! I have that exact same fabric in my red and white stash!! I bought it this past summer as I was wanting to do several r/w quilts as gifts...Haven't started any of them but my stash is growing just a little, had to use some red for Christmas ideas/gifts, so glad I had it! I will keep an eye out for you, my quilting, scrapping, cross-stitching friend or should I say fiend! :)

Red is my favorite color so I'm very smitten by that piece of fabric. I saw all the quilts you linked and loved them.

I HAVE to ask...does Pepper now have the run of the house or the downstairs???

Dorothy, LOL!!! No! She's sitting in the laundry room - her abode - and her leash is tied around the door knob. She can't go further than inside the little room. But since she's such a smart doggie, she gets as
close to the door and carpet leading to the family room as her leash will let her!
