For Christmas, my aunt gave me a Slice Solutions brownie pan set. Yesterday was the first time I tried it out - we needed a new dessert to welcome Jonathan home from Idaho!
After Dad, Hannah, and I finished shoveling the driveway and sidewalk of 8 inches of snow; we retreated back into the warm house, and I got started on mixing up the batter. We buy a large box of Ghirardelli brownie mix from Costco - it has chocolate chips already mixed in and is very yummy. :) Normally we make 2 mixes at a time for some extra thick brownies. This time, I just used one.
The brownie pan set has a removable bottom and then a divider piece. First, make sure to coat the pieces with non-stick spray, then pour the batter into the pan. Then you insert the divider and pop them in the oven to bake.
Once the brownies were done, they cooled for a little while on a wire rack before I removed both the divider and the bottom. After cooling completely, it was easy to pick up all the individual brownies. Twelve perfect, even rectangles!
Topping the brownies with a little chocolate icing and Valentine sprinkles completed the plate of dessert for our evening meal. I think Jonathan liked them. :)
Oh, wow! Baby and I would really like to eat a few of those right now.....washed down with a tall glass of milk....ahhhhh!

How neat! I'm such a goofball when it comes to slicing brownies and cakes; all my pieces are different sizes, and of course my husband wants to eat all the big pieces! LOL Your brownies look delicious!

Hey Sarah,
I'm glad it worked well. Sometimes those types of things don't live up to the advertising. The only bad thing is that I'm not there to try the perfectly shaped brownies. Actually that's probably a good thing. I indulged my sweet tooth a little too often this holiday season. So, do you still love the snow after all of the shoveling you've had to do this season? Love, Aunt Toots

I saw a pan like that in the thrift shop this week and now that I've seen your post...I wish I had bought it! Are the slices as big as they look?
Glad Jonathon made it home. Looking forward to the Idaho pics.
Actually...I just remembered why I didn't buy that pan. I have to make all my brownies with sourdough (dairy and egg free) and you're not supposed to use sourdough with any metal pans. But I do like the neatness of your brownies.
Thanks for a wonderful post.
