Things I am Thankful for After Surgery:
- Doctors and nurses who are skilled professionals--able to cut and repair even after a clipped artery caused unexpected complications.
- Generous blood donors who voluntarily give of their life blood to help someone (me) who needed it.
- Friends and family who pray consistently for healing and who send cards, flowers, emails, phone calls, and gifts. Thank you for being faithful to pray all week long!
- Daughters who take turns spending the night and helping me recuperate, plus keeping things going at home.
- A son who calls to check on me, and a son who comes to visit after work.
- A husband who loves me and made me his priority instead of his job this week.
- Hearing the great news today that I can tentatively go home tomorrow. Praise the Lord!
- Typepad which allowed me to pre-post some entries last week before surgery. Thank you all for the comments that I have not been able to respond to.
- Most of all, I'm thankful for a God who is the Great Physician who heals and brings me back to health.
"I am the Lord who heals you" ~Exodus 15:26

Ack! I didn't realize you had surgery this week! I pray that you will definitely get to go home tomorrow and that your recovery will be quick. Praise the Lord the doctors were able to work through the complications! And you have a beautiful view, even if it IS from a hospital bed. Love you, my friend!

I am praying that you will have a good recovery with no further complications. You are blessed with a loving family to care for you as you heal. I hope they will spoil you.
Psalm 18:30 reminds us that God's way is perfect and that He is our help in times of need. Psalm 91 is always a blessing and comfort to me.

Is it inappropriate to ask, What happened? This is a disturbing post to read. Although I am thankful you are okay, I am also worried for you. We will be praying for your recovery, Deb!

Six days in a hospital? Surgery? Complications? ((De-eb!))
Joining with you in prayer that you get to go home tomorrow. Praise the Lord for good doctors and nurses. I know your precious family will be relieved and overjoyed to get you back home. Enjoy their pampering as you rest and let God heal your body. May His tender care uphold you.
Tender hugs sent your way, my friend!

I have been praying and was glad to get the email from your husband last night saying you might go home. I will continue praying for your complete recovery. What a special blessing to have those two helpful daughters to attend to mom as she gets well.
Take it easy as you recover. I look forward to hearing soon that you are back to normal.
Blessings

You are so lucky to have a husband by your side during times like that. It's never easy to be in that situation. Good thing you have a positive outlook in life. That's what helped you survive the surgery. :)
