In my last post I mentioned I'd be showing you some mailbox treasures which recently arrived--that's still on the agenda; I just haven't gotten around to taking all the pictures yet. I promise that's coming!
You see, Granny's back after being away since May! [For newer readers, my mom sold her house in South Boston and now lives with my sister part of the year in South Carolina and the rest of the time with us here in the Shenandoah Valley.]
We've been extra busy preparing for her and my sister to arrive. The menu has been planned and posted on the fridge for this week, fun excursions talked about, and in general no blogging has gotten done!
For some of you who were long ago readers of my sister's blog, after a one year hiatus she's returned to blogging! And that helped me keep up with some of my mom's summer happenings in SC. Go over and see how they celebrated Granny's 82nd birthday last week.
Anyway, this is just a quickie post to say hello while tonight's meatloaf is cooking. Plain ol' meatloaf becomes a delicious company meal when it's Deb's Award-Winning Meatloaf recipe. I'll have to post it--promise!
~Deb
Welcome home granny. I'm sure you're glad to have her back with you all. Looking forward to the award-winning meatloaf recipe.

Yay! I know you're so glad Granny's back! I'm also glad to know your sister has returned to blogging. I feel like I'm chatting with someone from "home" when I read it, since she lives so near to my hometown! ;)

Welcome Back Granny!! What a blessing you are to all your family. It must be hard for Deb and Bet to "give you up" each time. What a blessing to be able to spend time with them both. (((HUGS))) to you!!

Forgot to tell you all that Sadie has a slipped disc in her back. She is doing pretty good now but complete crate rest for six weeks.
I was so worried about her and Michael was even worse than me. We are going to bothe be worried when the bills start rolling in,but she was worth it,but if it happens again we will hsve to put her to sleep because i can not stand to see her in pain and it can happen again and again. Love you all

Please do post the recipe. I love meatloaf, but my attempts haven't been that successful.
