Special thanks to my friend, Susan, who blogs at By Grace,
for sending me the most gorgeous purse for my birthday last month. I absolutely love the colors and have been taking it everywhere!
She made it! I saw her work in progress posted on her Flickr pictures and commented how pretty it was--not knowing she was making it for me! She has more pictures over on this post. Thank you so much, Susan!
And guess what?! We've never met! We're blogging friends who read each other's blogs, but we hope to get to meet in real life next year when her family is on deputation.
And here's another beautiful box that arrived last month...I love it! It was gorgeous on the outside and on the inside!
The smaller box was delicately ribboned inside the larger box and was full of "baked goodies."
Look inside and see what I found-- four colorful fabric rolls sitting inside paper muffin cups!
This creative gift was made by my long-time friend, Chris. Can you guess what she sent?
The goodies were camera straps sewn in colors appropriate for spring, summer, fall, and winter! Here's a picture of them all spread out below:
Thank you so much, Chris!! I love them all and will look forward to a new look for my camera throughout the year!
This next mailbox treasure is from Prairie Flower Farm. This one was a giveaway earlier in the spring...and I won these beautiful gardening gloves, tea packet, and watermelon seeds! Thank you so much, Linda, over at Prairie Flower Farm for sending me these very useful items.
And did you know that Linda is having a party from August 10 - 20? Head over to Prairie Flower Farm and enter to win lots of neat stuff!
There's ribbon, 3 yards of fabric, a candle, a tea towel and a tea cozy to name a few of the items. You have until the 20th to enter.
This next mailbox treasure I purchased from Vicki, the bird's nest knitter...she does an excellent job knitting nests for folks all over the country! And some of her nests are for sale in specialty shops.
I purchased two nests from her--one for a friend's birthday earlier this year and one for me. Here's mine taken by the butterfly bush:
Vicki blogs over at Two Bags Full and just posted lots of birds' nests that she's just completed. There are some beautiful pictures of them taken on a foggy morning outside on her blog.
My birds' nests arrived with three M&M blue "eggs" in each of them. However, when I was in South Carolina at my sister's house back in May, I found some bluebird eggs at the cutest little garden shop in Saluda when we took a day trip there. I had to buy them for the nests! Just perfect! Thank you so much, Vicki, for a job well knitted!
I think this post has gotten long enough! So I will continue in Part 2. Thanks for your visit!
~Deb

What a neat idea for those camera straps! And I have never seen anyone who wins giveaways as much as you do - and no one else deserves them more! I'm glad you're enjoying your purse! ;)
