Today's the first Friday in January and time for the first UFO progress report for all the Little Green Quilters, but I haven't worked on any UFOs this week. I've been cleaning up from Christmas and putting stuff away and getting ready for a crafty winter.
But...I have been thinking about what I'll work on first. The postage stamp quilt is new on the 2012 list. I started it last year during the quilt along, and it became a UFO when it was folded up and left alone (oh, no!) for several months. Here's the front:
The quilt has been sandwiched and pinned and is ready for quilting...probably the least amount of work involved on any UFO on the list, which is why I picked it. From the looks of all the folds and wrinkles, I may have to redo the pinning after it's ironed--again. We'll see.
I think I've said this before...having a UFO list can be very embarrassing! No, I'm not done with it after all this time, but I'll be soon...thanks to Susan for starting the UFO Challenge again!

It's beautiful! Don't be embarrassed about a UFO list, I think most crafters/sewists have many projects lingering in their closets, they just don't blog about them. ;)

What a lovely quilt and the colors are so rich and Christmasy! Your pieced backing is just perfect, too.
I'm with you on this UFO challenge once again and one of my first projects will be quilting a small Friendship Star table topper (or wall hanging) that is in hot pinks and reds for Valentine's Day. It was made last year, too, so is now a UFO. Sigh!
Cheers!

I love your postage stamp quilt, Deb. Some day, I plan to make one.

It looks great!
If you want to avoid shifting the layers, press with the iron and don't "smooth" at all. I have found that even with the best basting job, it's possible to shift the layers if you keep trying to smooth it out (esp on the back).
Can't wait to see it finished!

I love the fabric you have for the backing! Good job starting the year with a UFO!!!

My UFO list is SO embarrassing. Maybe someday I'll actually conquer it. I doubt it, though.
