Last week I left all the Farmer's Market commotion going on around here and headed down to South Carolina to visit my sister for a few days...and I picked up Granny and brought her back here to live awhile with us! Yay!
We just got in last evening, and it's good to be home! While I was away, the girls entertained a photographer and reporter from the local newspaper who interviewed them, snapped lots of pictures, and wrote an article on their involvement in the local Farmer's Market.
Here's Granny reading about them in today's paper, and here's a link to the front page article:
Hopefully, the exposure will mean some extra sales on Saturday. The girls hope so!
And did you know that I'm making nine cakes and lots of cupcakes for the Market this weekend?
Can you picture what we'll all be doing from now until Market opens? Will we survive this week of busy-ness?!
Stay tuned...I'll show you on Friday all the cakes I've decorated!
~Deb
If I lived near you, I'd be there to buy one of those cakes! Glad you and Granny both returned safely. Happy Easter to you all.

Neat newspaper article! Wonderful. I hope the sale goes really great. I'll be looking for an update. Does this mean we'll be seeing more of Granny's baskets soon? ;-)

Is this a typo? Do explain the nine cakes and cupcakes....
Also I want to let everyone know that things are mighty quiet around here without Granny--Barney and I are very lonely! So before you commenters ooh and ahh about how great it is to have Granny back, remember that there are two sides to that story!!
;-)

How neat! I loved reading the article - and front page, no less! I hope it does result in more sales for the girls.
I know you're glad to have Granny back. And Bet, we all cry when Granny goes down to live with you, so we can rejoice when she comes back! ;)

What a nice newspaper article coupled with a great photo of your two hardworking entrepreneurial young ladies! I always enjoy reading about what Hannah & Sarah are up to. Thank you so much for keeping us updated on the market prep and I'm sure there will be much success. The market patrons your way are lucky!

Well this is turning out to be a Girotti family event! Will Jonathan serenade the shoppers with his guitar?! :) I am looking forward to hearing how it all goes and seeing the pictures of all your baking Deb!

Seeing the article about Hannah and Sarah and the farmers market was thrilling! I've been praying for God to bless them as they work so hard to make their wonderful items to sell. I wish I could be there in the morning to be their first customer! I will continue to pray for God to be honored in all they do. Can't wait for the post on their first market day. Love you guys!
