The first month of market has wrapped up, and Hannah and I are starting to get into a routine as the weeks go by. And they are passing fast! When almost every day has some sort of market prep planned, they fly by with Saturdays coming again very soon. :)
Last Saturday was our first experience with rain, and while it wasn't terrible, it's not something we really care to experience again! I always am keeping a close eye on the forecast, trying to make a decision on whether to start my baking on Friday or not. This week it's calling for a 40% chance of scattered t-storms....hmmm.
Today was supposed to be lower humidity than other days this week, so it was fudge making day! The candies can be made earlier than Friday, which helps out alot with my time in the kitchen. Butter Pecan (on the right) was a new recipe tested today, and I was pleased with how it turned out. Cleaning up my mess after fudge is always a yummy job. Anybody want to help me? :)

You are so clever! 'Frogs in the Mud Fudge'. That should catch some attention at the market! Your products look so yummy and I'd gladly volunteer for clean-up duty too!

You girls are definitely staying busy!
The "Frogs in the Mud" fudge is very interesting---what flavor is it? Mint?
A cute and catchy name at any rate--I know my girls would want to eat it! :-)
I can see that a rainy day would not be a fun experience. I hope you don't have to endure to many of them.

Me, me, pick me! I'd love to learn to make fudge too. I guess I could read the directions. . .

Michelle -
Frogs in the Mud is a chocolate cherry flavor. :) There's a bottom layer of chocolate that you can't see very well in the picture, and then the top green layer is more of a vanilla fudge. It has some almond extract to give it a cherry flavor, and has chopped green candied cherries mixed in as well as pieces on top.
It was actually originally going to be Black Forest Fudge, and I was going to use red cherries, but I could only find the green ones locally. So I had to come up with a different name. Heh. :)

I've prayed for you and your sis several times asyou've prepared, and on market day. Has it been a profitable experience? Do you sell out of most products? I'm fascinated by the whole thing.

Keep up the good work!
I admit rain would be hard to deal with and be a nice happy vendor.

Chocolate with cherries is one of my favorite things, so the "Frogs in the Mud" fudge would be a big hit at our house!
Thanks for taking the time to explain Sarah.

Sarah- I'm do happy your market sales are doing so well. The fudge looks wonderful-- if I lived closer I'd be one of your best customers!
