I'm no help in naming the block, sorry. It looks perfect in that space. Granny's baskets are so so beautiful!

It's beautiful!

It reminds me of a red and green quilt, but the initial pattern that I was thinking of (Pomegranate) is different than your quilt block. See this post:

Maybe you could check this book out:

Amy, a redeemed sheep

I can see why you brought it home! It's beautiful! It looks like the modern quilts that are being made today. Which goes to show that old is new again continually.

Tammy C

Reminds me of a weather vein.

Deb, it's beautiful! It's so fun when you bring something home like that, and it pleases you so much when you see it. What a great find. I was just thinking about Granny's egg baskets today and thinking, "I have to follow through and get me one this year!"

Lisa Spivey

There's nothing like old textile fabrics. It is beautiful and you had the perfect spot waiting for it!

Way to go Deb. Don't you love when you find something so perfect? Goes great with Granny's baskets too.

Susan Ramey Cleveland

What a treasure! And I love Granny's basket too.

This is a sweet find!!! It does remind me of the pomegranite block, but looks like oranges or tangerines! Very nice, it will be fun to search for the name of the block!
