We awoke this morning with about 5 inches of new snow and a forecast for more today, but the sun is out brightening the day and making the Valley a beautiful place...so I think this storm is now past us.
Oops..maybe not. Edited to add: It furiously snowed all day! This day will be a busy one! Hannah and I are packing to leave for South Carolina tomorrow...and bringing Granny back home with us after Easter. Yay!
This will be a fun week of visiting my sister for her birthday, getting together with a South Carolina blogger for lunch one day, attending the Living Gallery production, and traveling another two hours to visit a blogging family that I've never met!
And, of course, pictures to follow next week of all our South Carolina adventures.
Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday weekend and a worshipful Resurrection Sunday.

We don't have the snow, but it's still pretty cold here! Doesn't seem like "spring" yet!

I can't tell you how excited I am to see ya'll again!!! and meet Hannah for the first time!! It feels like old-home-week to me. It actually flurried a little at our place today, so be sure to dress warmly as it is cccccooold. We're 20 degrees below normal for this time of year. Looking forward to Thursday's lunch! Drive safe! PS Your place looks so pretty in snow.

Yikes, more snow!!! We too have had snow today, well, flurries...not the norm for us at all! We'll be praying for you and Hannah as you travel, and all your stops along the way. It sounds like a wonderful trip, looking forward to hearing about it when you get home...and seeing pictures, hint hint ;)

Have a wonderful time with your sister! I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures. Where is the farming family that you will be visiting? I went to their blog and saw that they sell goat's milk products. If they're close enough to my parents, they might be interested in some of those products. My dad loves goat milk! ;)

Hi, I am new here for about a month or two. I found your blog from coffee, tea, books and me. I was excited to see you have grown daughters still at home, as I have one daughter married and one still home with us (she is 28) and a son 14. We homeschool. My dd at home has a home cottage business too. We live in Western NY, very cold March but not much snow, just a dusting here and there. I was excited to find the CTB&M blog, and now yours with ladies my age (I will be 56 in June) with similar values!

I kept thinking we weren't going to get the snow totals that had been projected because the snow had been light all day here.
Our heavy snow started in the evening and there is 9" on the ground when I got up the next morning!
The backyard is still all white, as is part of the front yard (the backyard has less direct sunshine). I expect by Easter it will all be gone. Hopefully we will soon get warm. :)
My son and his wife just let me know yesterday they were definitely coming for Easter dinner so it meant a quick trip to the grocery store!
Have a very blessed Easter.

Oh, Man! I'll quit complaining. Our snow is finally gone and we are finally getting some sun. It's a little warmer but still pretty cold. Have a great trip! Love the quilt block on your barn! Will be happy to see more of Granny in your posts. Safe travels. Happy Easter!

Are you pulling an April's fools joke on us by not posting anything for so long?! ;-)
