A couple of years ago, I posted about this auspicious holiday. That time I actually made some healthy donuts, but this year I went with unhealthy deliciousness! :)
Glazed Crispy and Creamy Donuts. They stuck to the pan they were rising on, so I ended up with some interesting shapes.
There wasn't enough glaze for them all, so the rest were chocolate-fied! And SPRINKLED!
I know a friend of ours sent pictures of their homemade donuts (beautiful, by the way)....did anyone else make any? Or pick up one of the many free donut offers floating around?

Yum, they look so tasty Sarah...I'm almost sure I can smell them :) The Salvation Army in our town hosted a huge donut day giveaway, while also accepting donations...if you wanted. It was a big hit and they raised a pretty big amount, all set aside for helping others.
I love the story behind the donut...as our family likes donuts a bit to much. Arthur and James were the only 2 in our family that ate donuts yesterday, they were out of town doing some building at Arthur's families home. I'm thinking donuts for breakfast tomorrow before church :)
Blessings to you and your sweet family, we always enjoy reading your post and seeing what's happening in Virginia.

If this is the recipe from AllRecipes.com I made these for my family a while back. They were so yummy, but a lot of work! My kids have asked for them again.
