Oh my goodness! Those are so pretty and I LOVE the aqua and white one!!! When we were in Damascas last summer we stopped in an antique shop looking for some potato mashers for Granny, they too looked at us like we were crazy when we told them what we needed them for...but they thought it was a very "clever idea". Sadly we never did find any while on our trip, you guys must have hit the jack pot! :)

Granny is creative! Wow!

Bet

Nice ones!!!

To find so many nice ones in one trip is amazing nowadays, as those have become quite 'rare'! Her baskets are always beautiful and look forward to seeing those she makes too. Great photo of your mom with her two granddaughters!

Toni

Granny is my kind of gal! I love those potato mashers, and working them into baskets is a wonderful way to preserve them. Can I come live with y'all? Just kiddin', of course, but I do enjoy lots of the same pastimes as y'all do.
Have a great day, girls!

victoria

Glad she found some more mashers and hope her basket making is quite successful.

So glad you had a good time on vacation! The picture of granny and the girls is great...looks like it'll make such a sweet reminder of fun times!

I always look for potato mashers when I'm out shopping...they are hard to find! The photo is so beautiful! Hope you had a wonderful vacation together. Love and miss you all! :-)

I think I will get one of those baskets next!!!

Kathy

Granny - looks you hit the masher mother-lode!!! The folks of Abingdon must have been heavy duty mashers way back when. :-)
