From The Word

  • I Peter 5:8-11
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a "roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Oh Deb! This IS beautiful!! The fabrics and the blocks are so prett, such a nice combination. I am so proud of you for getting your Feb. block done ALREADY!!! YAY for you...even in the midst of traveling and hosting company. GREAT JOB!! :)

Tammy

Such a pretty color scheme, and great work! I look forward to seeing the completed quilt. :)

Toni

Hi Deb, I really love the red and white blocks. It's going to be a gorgeous quilt. A girl can't quilt every waking minute - travel just takes precedence sometimes. ;)
I need to get out the quilt I started last January and finish it, too.

Becka

It will be a beautiful quilt! I love red and white quilts. Right now I don't have time for big projects--maybe someday. :)

Cathy

I am, as I've stated more than once on this blog, not into quilting, nor do I understand the attraction. I guess that I will just have to take your word for it. :) BUT, those colors and pattern will make a lovely quilt, IMHO. But, please don't wait 25 years to finish it (as you wrote about on a former post)!! :)

Deb

Love, Love, LOVE what you've done so far! Can't wait to see the finished product!!

As I mentioned, Paul and I were out looking at upholstery fabric recently, but did I mention we're thinking of having our sofa recovered in red? We think we've found the fabric we'd like to use for that, our problem is in finding durable, coordinating fabrics for four more pieces, red being our primary colour, butter yellow being secondary, with blue accents. It's proving to be quite a challenge!

Loving red these days, so your quilt really strikes my fancy!

Cindi

I think it's beautiful and very refreshing.

Nic

Looking good. So do you get to choose the fabrics used for each block from a bundle of fabric for the quilt or is the fabric bundled with each block?

Cathy

What???! No new post in a week? The noive! C'mon, Girottis, get crackin'!

Karen

Hello Deb! I have missed being over for a visit but I'm never disappointed when I come! A lovely group of squares!! Red and White and Blue and White are so classic...just lovely!

Joyce

It's beautiful, Deb! Makes me want to get my scraps out and start sewing :) It's really lovely. You do beautiful work. Have fun with it. ~Joyce
