Today we celebrate our dear mother's birthday! Hooray!
Independence Day and her birthday coming all together make for a very festive, red-white-and-blue celebration week. :) The streamers are up, the patriotic decor is everywhere, and it's almost time to get the traditional Peter Paul cake in the oven.

Yes, have a glorious b'day. May you know the love of your fam, friends, and the God you know and serve today...and in the coming year. If the founding fathers had only known that you were making your entrance just two days earlier, things might have been different. Sadly, they didn't. Who needs a monster fireworks extravaganza in your honor, anyway? Your fam will do it up big, and make sure that you feel pampered and loved.

Happy Birthday, Deb! Wish I lived close enough to get together, it would be SO much fun.
My granddaughter, Faith, was the only one of Steph's five children born on her due date. Which was July 4th! Her personality reflects all that I think of with the Holiday, too.

Thank you everyone! The family treated me royally for my birthday. As for the recipe for Peter Paul cake...
