Well, here we go - the first day of bingo words! There are 30 people playing along and prizes for the first two to bingo. (If you didn't see my updated prize info, go to my first post to see what you're playing for!) Without further ado, here are your 15 randomly chosen words for today:
It's appropriate that we start out this contest with Good News! After all, we wouldn't even have Christmas except for the fact that God sent His only Son to Earth to save sinners. He became man...for US. Isn't that wonderful?!
Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
~Sarah
I am going to substitute "cookies (the word that I chose)" for "cookie exchange." After all, the word "cookie" is in both.
Drat! I got all of two words, not including the "cookie" one. Obviously, this thing is rigged.
Do I REALLY need to add a winky face so that the contestants will know that I'm kidding. OK, here it is. ;)
Here's to getting the other 23 tomorrow!

Thanks for the first group of words, Sarah. Good News is the true Christmas message, and the first one of the words I marked off my list today. I only got a handful, but they are all LEGITIMATE. *snickers*

First day with 3 words. Probably the most I ever got!
Thanks for the game.

Hey Sarah,
Thanks for doing this again. It helps me get in the spirit, after my long days at S&S, where people tend to forget the reason for the season. This year I threw the words in a hat, and picked the 25 words that way, thinking I might have better luck. Oh well, not so much, I only got one word. Slow and steady wins the race-right? Love, Aunt Toots

If feels like I should have played along since my initials are HJB and my first name is Holly. ;) Perhaps some other year...things do eventually slow down, right?
I'm just going to read along and celebrate with all of you.
