It's your resident holiday celebrator here to let you know that today is National Cheesecake Day! You'd better make a cheesecake real quick so you can properly acknowledge the day. :)
We're taking down a few pieces of my leftover-from-market coconut cheesecake from the freezer to enjoy for lunch today. After all, Aunt Bet is here, and she deserves a special dessert!
The last few weeks at market, I've been selling out of cheesecake, which is always nice. Peanut butter cup and key lime were popular flavors. What's your favorite cheesecake?
~Sarah
Your Aunt Ellen asked what kind of cake I wanted for my birthday, and seeing I'm more about icing than cake, I opted for the cheesecake option. I didn't know it was National Cheesecake Day.

Love all cheesecake but I think my favorite is plain ol' cheesecake with homemade raspberry sauce poured over the top and a dollop of whipped cream. The pictures on Steve's website of your little town are just darling. Makes me want to fire up my motorhome and drive to Virginia. I live in AZ now and it is so hot--over 105 degrees almost every day. Have a blessed day and rest of the summer, Patty in Goodyear AZ.

There's no such thing as a bad cheesecake. :)

Your cheesecake looks wonderful... Wow, you bake one every week! I too would probably love any kind of cheesecake. I sometimes make one in the Spring for my sister's birthday... Usually it's a ricotta one with biscotti for the crust, but I've tried a chocolate/coffee layered kind also with oreo cookie crumbs from Taste of Home recipes. I hope your family is having a great summer and your grandma is still on the mend. God bless! :)
