"Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel." Isaiah 7:14
Thank you for being such faithful blog readers and commenters these last 11 years! Is anyone out there who started reading back in the beginning in December, 2004?
How did you first find Mountain Musings and how long have you been keeping up with us? And what part of the world are you in? That would be interesting to know!
As 2015 comes to a close, our family would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! See you back here on the blog in 2016...
~Deb

Merry Christmas!
I don't remember exactly how long I've been reading your blog. Probably somewhere in the late 2005's. I was new to reading blogs and Susan Hutchens gave me a few blogs she was reading.

Glad you will be back in 2016. Wow - 11 years! I discovered your blog around 2011 via Brenda at CoffeeTeaBooks... I was excited to see that your Sarah, Jonathan, and Hannah are the same ages as my 2 girls and 1 sil, and we had many similarities. ALSO..those who are independent, conservative New York State Natives, as we are, are always "talking" about getting out of NY. One of the states my family consistently mentions is VA (and NC AND TN). We are also fellow homeschoolers. My 3rd (son) is half high school and just started at a local community college.
We are having a record high December, but along with the warm temps is VERY GRAY skies. Today it is pouring and our little spring time creek is even flowing. Last week-end we had about a half inch snow for two whole days and then it was gone.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from my family to yours!
God Bless..Rhonda in Western NY :)

Who knew when I found your wonderful blog more than nine years ago, that one day you and I would be related as your sweet Sarah would marry our son Eric. I would definitely have to say that our family has been blessed the most by reading your blog!
Merry Christmas and enjoy having two special guests at your table this year. :)

Merry Christmas! I look forward to "seeing" more of your family in the new year. I especially love seeing your sewing projects. Once our family is a little older I hope to have more than just doll clothes to contribute to any sewing discussion. :)

Merry Christmas Deb!! I have been here since the beginning...I'll never forget when you told me you were starting a "blog"?! I thought "What is that!??" LOL I can hardly believe it has been 11 years. It's been fun to come 'visit' your home several times a week and especially to see the photos of all your "goings on". :) In our world of so much junk on the internet it is so refreshing to sit and read your blog. Love you dear friend!!! Hugs to all the family!

I don't remember when or how I found your blog, but I so enjoy reading it, I read very few blogs, but yours is a priority.
And, It's funny, quilting is just strange to me, I don't farm, I live in Northern CA, in the East Bay--in suburbia, and I don't have a lifestyle that mirrors yours. But, we are related through Christ, and, as such, I can appreciate the differences.
The ONLY thing that really bugs me about your blog, though, is Sarah's failures to pick the right words (mine) for HJB. Oh, well...I'll continue to read, and hope that, next year, she'll get it right!
Merry Christmas! Hurry back.

I apologize for being late to comment, but we were out of town and without internet. So I missed a few days. I am an original follower of your blog from all those years ago. I believe my good friend Bet gave you the blog site as a Christmas present originally, and as I followed hers at the time, I followed yours as well. Sadly, she has given up her blog,I believe, but you have stood strong all these years. I miss it on those days/sometimes weeks that you don't have time to post. You always have something interesting to say or show. :)You remain a blessing to all your readers. I'm so glad Sarah continues to contribute.
