On Tuesday we celebrated Hannah's birthday! How very thankful we are for her and for what a godly young lady she is. She is such a blessing as she serves her family. She wasn't allowed to do any work on her birthday--only fun stuff!
Here's Hannah on her birthday afternoon practicing calligraphy and some artwork while I worked in the kitchen preparing her birthday meal:
Here's the start of the Creamy Cajun Chicken Meatballs I picked from her birthday choices. I have my trusty computer on the counter with the recipe pulled up and the bowl of ingredients ready to mix and start forming meatballs:
So far, so good. It's looking just like the Recipe Critic's photos!
Everyone loved the delicious flavor of these meatballs over fettuccine, and we all agreed that it was a definite "do again" recipe!
Here's the blue and white themed birthday table ready for the meal to begin...decorated with snowman plates, an antique tablecloth, and our January centerpiece:
Here's the up close photo of the January words centerpiece made by my friend, Chris:
When the birthday girl picks peach cobbler as her main dessert instead of birthday cake, she improvises and pretends to blow out the candle after we sang Happy Birthday: Hannah opened several nice gifts, and we played her choice of games afterwards.
Oops, I forgot to take pictures of us playing games...so I'll just include one taken of us playing games over the holidays: To finish up the birthday evening, Jonathan took a brother-sister selfie:
We hope you enjoyed your special birthday, Hannah! Thank you to everyone who wrote and wished her a Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Hannah. Looks like your mom pulled off a really enjoyable celebration. The dinner looks delicious and the tablescape is cozy and inviting. I’ll have to ask you about the escape room game on Sunday😉. Was it hard not to do any work all day? The calligraphy and watercolor painting look like fun.

Happy birthday Hannah! I loved the candle on your birthday cake! Peach cobbler sounds so good... It's been awhile since I've gotten the chance to look up my favorite blogs, hopefully it won't be so long next time ... Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas season! God blessings to you :)

Happy belated birthday, sweet Mary. Oops! I meant Hannah! I always tell your Mom, you would make the perfect Mary!
Hope you enjoyed your special day with all the good food and no work! Enjoy it! You will need a day of rest when you think of all the hard work you do in the summer in the garden! You are a sweet, pretty and special young lady. Hope God gives you many more happy birthdays!
